►►►►  This campaign has been the subject of various international news reports, TV documentaries, current affairs programs, radios shows, and magazine features. This archive will focus on a few aspects.

If you need more information you will find some news reports online. Unfortunately, due to sporadic journalistic reporting, publicly searchable archives are incomplete. No media organisations filmed the historic 10th Jan 2001 acquittal when Vincent left court naked, but the 10th Jan 2001 acquittal was front page news in The Guardian Newspaper.

Trusty and much used Self Aware placard

TFTBY PLACARDS:

Numerous placards were created throughout the years. A couple of placards were demolished by angry people: a stockbroker at an anti-capitalist event smashed a “PROTEST NAKED” placard to pieces, and a Security Guard at a New Age event demolished a “LEGALISE YOURSELF” placard. Other placards have been:

● BEING HUMAN

● EVERY BODY

● NO CULTURE

● DESTROY SOCIETY

And some smaller signs were:

● Your Body

● Human Racism

● How You Look

● How We Look

● Body Image

● Your Fear

● Skin

● You

After the 4th August 1998 protest, at the National Gallery London, where Vincent Bethell stripped naked an painted a £ sign on Rembrandt; Vincent also stripped naked in court. Vincent ripped his police-issue paper-boiler-suit off and shouted: “Society is mentally ill, destroy society, long live humanity!” Vincent’s court protest was a response to the magistrate ordering a psychiatric assessment prior to trial.
